Private Collection of the Artist
This is one of my favorite images. I had the opportunity to experiment briefly with encaustic painting while presenting at an elementary fine arts day. The artist had allowed children to work with the media on small sheets of paper. The work of the children became my background in this piece. From there I worked to accent areas and create a lamp image in the foreground. It encompasses the concept of community art in a very special way to me.
